About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for repair and calibration services of the Joint Combined Aircrew System Tester (JCAST) issued by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Armstrong Flight Research Center in Edwards, California.
The contractor shall perform a complete diagnostic evaluation, repair, and calibration of the JCAST unit and its associated subcomponents (ACAST, Valve Test Accessory, Relief Valve Test Accessory) to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards. The JCAST is critical for testing CRU-122 oxygen regulators, pressure suits, g-garments, and integrated aircrew life support systems in support of programs such as the Low Boom Flight Demonstrator. All work must comply with applicable Air Force Technical Orders (T.O. 15X6-4-8-2 and T.O. 33D2-10-141-1), utilize OEM parts and proprietary procedures, and meet Chemring-approved standards with calibration certification traceable to those standards. The contractor must complete repairs within Chemring's standard 14-16 week timeline from equipment receipt and return all equipment in ready-for-use condition with proper packaging for safe transport. The period of performance is 12 months from award date to allow for repair cycles, calibration lead time, shipping, and administrative requirements. Deliverables include inspection and diagnostic reports, calibration certificates, repair summary documentation, verification and functional test results, and all required documentation demonstrating equipment acceptance and work completion. Travel is not applicable. Travel requirements and other special considerations are to be determined individually for each piece of equipment.
