STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements NASA-GSFC owns and operates two tools from Oxford Instruments, a Cryogenic Deep reactive Ion Etch (cDRIE) Tool and a Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) Tool, which require maintenance by qualified field service engineers on a regular basis. They are both an integral part of the Detector Development Laboratory, which produces semiconductor detectors for various NASA missions, such as ATHENA, PACE/OCI and CLASS. The tool is critical for the production of semiconductor/MEMS devices, and maintenance is essential for optimum system performance and to avoid unplanned breakdowns and down time

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

The requirements for this maintenance contract include the following which shall be provided by the vendor:

• Comprehensive Support Agreement for PlasmaPro 100 Estrelas SN 220276 o Telephone support, help desk available from 8:30AM to 8:00PM EST, providing access to the call center and technical support.

o Labor, in the event of a system failure an instrument engineer will visit the site within 3 -

o Replacement Parts, in the event of component malfunction, replacement parts shall be shipped to GSFC. Replacement parts may be service exchanged or new items, shipping charges are included.

o Maintenance, annually an instrument engineer shall visit GSFC in order to perform Performance Maintenance on the system. This will ensure optimum performance of the system by replacing typical components that wear out, record baseline parameters, verify system performance and reduce unplanned outages. The materials of the Performance Maintenance Kit shall be included.

o For each visit, the vendor shall provide a factory trained engineer o The vendor shall provide an engineer who is a U.S. Citizen or LPR. Alternatively, if a foreign national must conduct the visit, then the vendor shall provide names of visitors and the required documentation 30 days in advance of scheduling a visit.

• Self Sufficiency Package for PlasmaPro 100 Cobra SN 220278 o Training. 1 Service credit for platform training – Ion Beam or Plasma depending upon platform. The training consists of an OIPT Field Service Engineer onsite to provide training to the engineering team.

o o Preventative Maintenance. The service agreement includes the completion of one standard

PM (including standard PM parts) in line with OIPT’s published schedules.

o Technical Support. Help desk phone support available from 8:00AM – 8:00PM EST M-F, excluding holidays, providing access to the Call Center, call logging, and technical support.

Response times will be within 24 hours in most cases.
