Statement of Work (SOW) Project: Shimadzu HPLC-MS PM and Training
USDA-ARS / NCSU
SCHAUB HALL RM 226
RALEIGH, NC 27695-7624
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Scope of Work: Preventative maintenance service and 16 hours of training on a Shimadzu High Performance Liquid Chromatography - Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrophotometer System (HPLC-MS).
2.0 Background: The Shimadzu HPLC-MS quantifies compounds of interest present in samples at trace levels. This equipment is essential for our ongoing research and used by multiple programs within the Food Science Market Quality and Handling Unit in Raleigh, NC. However, it has not be used for 2 years due to pandemic restrictions and is due for preventative maintenance to avoid equipment malfunctions and damage. For accurate results and proper equipment care, equipment training is also needed as it is a highly complex device and previous regular users are no longer with USDA-ARS or NCSU.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks:
· Preventative maintenance on HPLC-MS system
· Service technician must replace all PM parts (HPLC-MS components: LCMS-8040, CBM-20A, DGU-20A5R, 2x Nexera LC-30AD Pumps, Nexera SIL-30AC Autosampler, DGU-20A3R, and CTO-20A) and verify accurate operation of the HPLC-MS system.
· Technician must be trained to service and operate the Shimadzu HPLC-MS system and provide their own tools and equipment to perform the required PM services.
· Provide up to 16 hours of training for up to 3 individuals to operate and care for the Shimadzu HPLC-MS system.
· No supervision or guidance as to the performance of the work will be provided by USDA personnel.
4.0 Government Furnished: The technician and trainer must access the location of the equipment in the USDA-ARS lab in Schaub Hall 226 at NCSU.
5.0 Deliverables / Schedule:
· A report of equipment functionality after the PM must be provided.
· Provide up to 16 hours of training for up to 3 individuals to operate and care for the Shimadzu HPLC-MS system.

6.0 Travel: All travel of the service technician and trainer will be the responsibility of the contractor with no additional charges to the Government.
7.0 Contractor’s Key Personnel: Service technician and trainer must be trained by Shimadzu for servicing and training on Shimadzu HPLC-MS systems, respectively.
