About this file
This statement of work describes maintenance requirements for the waterjet propulsion systems on the USNS MILLINOCKET. The Navy requires the original equipment manufacturer Wartsila Defense Inc. to provide field service representatives and all necessary parts and materials to supervise maintenance including removal, inspection, repair or replacement and reinstallation of the four waterjet units and associated components while the vessel is in drydock. The work will involve temporary removal and reinstallation of jetavator assemblies, seat rings, and hull inspection and repair. Wartsila must also test and calibrate all control system components, assist with dock and sea trials, and submit daily, weekly and final reports on all maintenance, issues and schedule updates.
