5.2 THE USNS ALAN B. SHEPARD ELECTRICAL COLOR CODING DOES NOT

FOLLOW CONSISTENT COLOR SCHEME. THE SHIP IS KNOWN TO

HAVE CURRENT CARRYING CONDUCTORS COLORED GREEN, BLUE,

BLACK AND WHITE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ASSUME ALL

ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE HOT UNTIL TESTED OTHERWISE. THE

1.0 ABSTRACT:

1.1 This item describes the requirement to repair the

STALECTRONIC 2200 Command and Control System and Ships AC Units and Cargo Refrigeration Compressors.

3.0 ITEM LOCATION/DESCRIPTION:

3.1 Location/Quantity

3.1.1 Location: AMR 5-58-01

3.1.2 Quantity: One (1) STALECTRONIC 2200 Command and

Control System. Four (4) AC units, and three (3) Cargo Refrigeration Compressors.

3.2 Item Description/Manufacturer’s Data: STALECTRONIC 2000

Control and Management, York Marine AC Units, and York Cargo Refrigeration System.

3.2.1 Bill of Materials: (Contractor Supplied): None

4.0 GOVERNMENT-FURNISHED EQUIPMENT/MATERIAL/SERVICES: None

5.0 NOTES:

5.1 This ship contains High Voltage (HV) electrical systems.

The contractor and subcontractors shall obey all posted and verbal instructions regarding safety and exclusion from High Voltage areas. At no time shall a contractor or subcontractor approach, work on, or enter a High Voltage area without proper authorization.

6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: None Additional

7.0 STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIRED:

7.1 Period of performance 15 – 21 January 2022.

7.2 Provide qualified STALECTRONIC 2200 Command and Control

System technician to troubleshoot and repair the system faults, alarms and failures on the OP1, OP2, OP3, and OP4 Computers and the communication and control circuitry to the ship’s air conditioning units and cargo refrigeration units. This will require OEM (Trident/IMECO Division) Passwords provided by the OEM Technical Representative.

7.3 Verify STALECTRONIC 2200 Control setting for five AC

Units and three Cargo Compressors and verify proper operation of the AC Units and Compressor units when online and can maintain all required parameters using reference 2.1.2. Start, Stop, and Run each unit several times to verify control, operability, and reliability.

7.4 Provide a qualified AC Unit and Cargo Compressor field

service technician to troubleshoot and repair the cause of AC Units 1 and 4 high current, high superheat temperatures and subsequent tripping off-line.

7.5 Troubleshoot and repair Cargo Compressor #3 power request timeout fault and failure to start.

7.6 Operationally test for one-hour the four (4) AC units and three (3) Cargo Refrigeration Compressors to verify proper operation, proper temperatures, and proper pressures. Ensure not alarm faults are present and the units do not trip off-line.

7.7 Provide a final service report detailing as-found

condition, cause of the failures, document operational test performance and set points, and any other pertinent information required for life cycle documentation.

7.8 Manufacturer’s Representative:

Trident Marine (IMECO Division)

CONTRACTOR SHALL TEST ALL ELECTRICAL CABLES TO ENSURE

THEY ARE DEAD PRIOR TO WORKING ON THE ITEM.
