Oklahoma City VA Medical Center Oklahoma City, OK 73104 scope of work and GENERAL Specifications FOR equipment PURCHASE
1. Background The Dental Service is a vital service within the Oklahoma City VAMC to provide dentistry for our veterans. With the opening of the OKC South Clinic the dental clinic will have 8 operatories that will need to be set up to take radiographs, and 1 pano/3D CBCT.
2. Project Scope The Oklahoma City VA Dental Service is looking to purchase the Planmeca ProMax 3D, 8 ProX xray generators (wall mounted), intraoral ProSensor HD sensors. (OR EQUAL)
3. Specifications The Oklahoma City VAMC equipment specifications are designed to outline all the Oklahoma City VAMC Dental Service and Biomedical Engineering requirements. These requirements will be provided to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) before final approval. The equipment specifications are provided below:
· Planmeca sensors (OR EQUAL)
· Planmeca ProSensor® HD is ergonomically designed with 3 separate sizes (0,1 & 2) integrating traditional technique with advanced technology
· Best image quality with true resolution of over 22 lp/mm (33 lp/mm theoretical resolution)
· Wide dynamic range provides dose tolerance and consistent image quality
· Magnetic sensor connection for one-handed use and unsurpassed damage protection
· Hermetically sealed and capable of full immersion for fast and simple disinfection
· Durable Kevlar shielded cable with only 2 wires (others have 4-16 wires)
· to MiPACS, Apteryx (Xray Vision) and DEVA SW
· 3 year Planmeca no surprise warranty*
· Color-coded LED indicator lights to alert the operator for sensor connectivity
· Planmeca ProSensor® HD can be connected by either USB or via Ethernet using POE injector
· Automatic calibration file loading, easy to move from room to room
· Planmeca Pano/CBCT (OR EQUAL) :
· Planmeca Ultra Low Dose™ provides an average reduction in radiation dose of 77% – without a statistical reduction in image quality1
· Planmeca CALM™ technology corrects patient movement in CBCT acquisition, a problem in 21-43% of 3D images2
· AINO (Adaptive Image Noise Optimizer) and ARA (Artifact Removal Algorithm) minimize noise and distrotion from artifacts without losing valuable details
· Endodontic mode, with one of the industry’s highest voxel size of 75 μm
· SmartPan™ all-in-one imaging, 2D & 3D imaging with a single sensor, no rotating or removing the sensor
· Patented SCARA 3 (Selectively Compliant Articulated Robotic Arm) technology guarantees an anatomically accurate imaging geometry for clear, error-free images
· True Extraoral Bitewings consistently open interproximal contacts and are clinically proven to be as effective at caries detection when compared to intraoral bitewing series3
· Advanced 2D imaging programs including pan, pediatric pan, orthogonal panoramic, TMJ and sinus programs
· Segmentation, take 2D PA images, quadrant, or individual area images, reducing radiation dose

· Planmeca ProSensor® ethernet cabling is pre-installed in the Planmeca ProX™ arm, so it is easily upgraded to fully integrate a Planmeca ProSensor®
· The C&A requirements do not apply, and the a Security Accreditation Package is not required
