SOURCES SOUGHT: BRUNEAU FIRE STATION PHASE

Solicitation #: 140L0621R0009 The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a requirement for Bruneau Fire Station Phase 2 and will include the construction and utility connections supporting the new Fire Station and related site improvement elements for Phase 2. The contract will include the construction of a new facility that includes a Fire Station and all site utilities and features needed to support associated facility activities. All work is to incorporate the latest, applicable building codes, NFPA standards and sustainable design measures. Complete construction of the new building, including structure and foundation, layout and installation of systems and equipment, electrical and grounding, water system, plumbing and waste piping, septic system tie-in, HVAC, and other required site elements. Contractor must complete connections to underground utility infrastructure installed in Phase 1. The Phase 2 contract will require full responsibility of these underground utilities and perform all work to make this infrastructure functional including wire and cable, fittings and modifications for existing utility runs and connections. Phase 2 performance period will begin while Phase 1 is underway, resulting in both phases undergoing construction at the same time.

The estimated magnitude of construction is $2.5 - $3 million.

This Sources Sought is intended as a means of conducting market research, which will help determine the best method for the anticipated solicitation and subsequent award. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this requirement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The small business size standard is $39.5 million. FAR 52.219-4, Limitations on Subcontracting, will apply wherein at least 15 percent of the work must be performed by the small business prime contractor and similarly situated small business subcontractors.
