This notice is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office NCO2 is currently conducting a market survey to locate qualified Small Businesses, including 8(a), Hub Zone, Veteran-Owned, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned firms capable of fulfilling a brand name or functionally equivalent equipment.
No formal solicitation document exists at this present time. This is not a solicitation announcement.
Items listed in this requirement:
Wood/Brush Chipper Specific Deliverables:
Intimidator 12XP (12” Drum Style):
· Part number: Model-12XP Description: Intimidator 12XP – (12” Drum Style)
Standard Equipment/Features for Wood/Brush Chipper will include:
· Must have a diesel engine that does not use DEF fluid
· 4" x 6 1/2" inspection window on belt shield
· 24" diameter x 18 3/4" wide chipper drum with (4) 5/8" x 5 1/2" x 9" dual edge knives
· 25-gallon steel fuel tank with magnetic drain plug, lockable filler cap, and aluminum sight gauge
· 12-gallon steel hydraulic tank with magnetic drain plug, lockable filler cap, and aluminum sight gauge
· 360-degree HAND crank swivel discharge (height adjustable) with 12" adjustable chip deflector
· 29" high x 54" wide tapered infeed hopper with 30”-fold down infeed hopper tray, heavy-duty taillight covers, and spring lift assists
· (2) Last chance safety pull cables
· Round control bar - located around top and sides of infeed hopper with 3 control positions (forward / stop / reverse)
· Wooden pusher tool with mount on infeed hopper
· Frame / Fender supports
· Engine disable plug for hood locking pin-preventing engine from operating without pin in place
· (1) weatherproof machine manual (includes safety, operation, and parts sections) also (1) engine and clutch manual is included if applicable.
· Spanish & English combination safety decals

· Part #: 990-RC1520-102 - Kohler KDI2504, 74 horsepower (turbocharged) diesel engine with NACD spring loaded clutch - Tier 4 FINAL (Includes 3 year / 2000-hour engine warranty) or (brand name or equivalent)
· Part #: 980-6000-37 - Murphy PV380 panel with reversing auto feed for Kohler 74 horsepower diesel engines (Includes 1,000 CCA battery with box) - Panel is mounted off of engine shroud in lockable composite cover (brand name or equivalent)
· Part #: OPTION-980-5000-73 - Dinamic winch with line docking station and manual push button feed assist (Includes 5/16" diameter x 200' Teufelberger rope with 12" loop installed) (Includes (1) manual rear stabilizer) or (brand name or equivalent)

The Veterans Health Administration prohibits the use of gray market items in their Medical Centers. Gray market items are considered to be items outside of the original equipment manufacturer’s intended distribution channels.
The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this requirement is 333120, with a size standard of 1,250 employees.
The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified Small Businesses, including 8(a), Hub Zone, Veteran-Owned, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned sources relative to NAICS code 333120. Those capable of fulfilling this requirement shall be a verified SDVOSB (Veteran Small Business Certification (sba.gov)), an authorized distributor and submit a statement regarding their capability inclusive of the company’s Unique Entity Identifier ( http://www.sam.gov).
Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing via email to Erskine.Shoulars@va.gov and must be received not later than May 3, 2023, at 10:00 AM. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
