The Federal Bureau of Prisons is conducting market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 10. A single solicitation will be issued for Replace Waste Line. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Metropolitan Correctional Center MCC San Diego located at 808 Union Street San Diego, CA 92101 intends to make a single award to a responsible entity that will provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials, and incidentals to Replace Waste Line.

This sources sought questionnaire is for information purposes only. The described requirement may or may not be included in the subsequent solicitation.

MCC San Diego is a federally owned facility located at 808 Union Street San Diego, CA 92101. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following:

1. Demolition:

a. Partial demolition to framed walls and ceiling for pipe access.

b. Removal of corroded and damaged waste and vent pipes.

2. New Work:

a. Repairing and reframing framed walls.

b. Replacement of damaged waste and vent pipes.

c. Clean up of waste pipes.

1. The resulting solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Contract Opportunities website at www.sam.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation are not available. The website provides download instructions to obtain all documents relating to the solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the pre-solicitation notices, solicitation, and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most current information about the acquisition.

2. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. In order to qualify for award, your business size metrics information entered in your SAM registration must be less than or equal to the size standard specified above. You must also have the NAICS code stated.

Each bidder's SAM registration will be reviewed by the Government to confirm that your business size meets the small business size standard requirement and the stated NAICS code is listed. All bidders are urged to double check their SAM registration and update as necessary, including the size metrics information and NAICS code.
