SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE
Disclaimer:
This Sources Sought notice is issued by the 18th Contracting Squadron, Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan to gain knowledge of potential business sources and their capabilities. Vendors’ capabilities will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determine adequate competition among the potential pool of available vendors. This notice, is for information and planning purposes only. This is NOT an Invitation for Bid (IFB) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). This Sources Sought is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for any information submitted in response. Respondents will not be notified of the results of any government assessments. No awards will be issued as a result of this Sources Sought. The 18th Contracting Squadron does not intend to award a contract on the basis of responses nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information submitted.
As a result of this Sources Sought, the 18th Contracting Squadron may issue a RFP or Request for Quote (RFQ). THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME; however, should such a requirement materialize, no basis for claims against 18th Contracting Squadron shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought or the 18th Contracting Squadron’s use of such information as either part of our evaluation process or in developing specifications for any subsequent requirement.
Responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation.
Potential offerors are not required to respond to this sources sought but are highly encouraged as again this information will help assist the Government in meeting our requirements in an efficient and effective manner.

The Contractor will provide administrative and personnel support for the 18th Medical Group (MDG). Providing administrative guidance and a variety of support service functions as it pertains to the promotion of clinical competency, currency, and professional training and development of all medical Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSCs) within the MDG, which includes but is not limited to, Military Training Network Life Support program(s), Newcomers' Orientation, readiness and monthly training day activities in support of Officer, Enlisted, Civilian and Contractor Professional and Technical Education requirements IAW current accreditation agency standards, DoD and AFIs, MAJCOM, AETC and DHA guidance. Supports and assists in the scheduling of E&T courses to include medical life support certifications such as ACLS, BLS, etc. Plans workload, sets/adjusts short-term priorities based on organizational E&T requirements and customers’ needs. Management mailto:chester.hill@us.af.mil of training records, course approval, tracking of training requests, training schedules as well as periodic audits of training reports of 18 MDG personnel. Verify and update personnel training documentation. Schedule training, to include notifications, coordination of Medical Group training requirements. Requisition administrative supplies and equipment for the Group’s Education & Training Staff. Tracks electronic database programs to ensure employees' training records are updated. Provides statistical information on completion rates of mandatory and elective E&T programs for the 18 MDG staff. In addition to Microsoft Word, Power point, Excel, Outlook and Access computer programs, will work on a variety of databases and websites, but not limited to Relias Learning, MyLearning, JKO, Red Cross, vMPF, Elsevier, DHA, DMLSS and MRDSS- ULTRA. The Contractor shall provide services at the 18 MDG, Kadena Air Base (AB), Japan.
Requested Information:
The following requests are designed to assist 18th Contracting Squadron, Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan in tailoring requirements to be consistent with industry capabilities and or industry practices. Please provide your responses to the following. Please limit your submission to no more than 15 pages.
1. Please indicate if your company is willing/able to provide an Education and Training Administrator to 18 MDG, Kadena AB, Japan.
2. Please specify if there is anything unclear, confusing, or needing to be clarified regarding the attached PWS dated 4 August 2021.
If your company is interested and capable of providing all of the above mentioned items/services, please respond to this Source Sought Notice no later than 10:00am, 11 August 2021 Japan Standard Time (JST). Please submit a written response via scan/email-attachment on company letter head to the POCs listed above.
