SOURCES SOUGHT (MARKET SURVEY)

Repaving Caprock Coulee Parking Area, North Unit, Theodore Roosevelt National Park, North Dakota (Reference 140P6321B0001)

The National Park Service (NPS) is conducting a market survey to determine the interest and capability of contractors for an upcoming project. All costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey shall be the responsibility of the firm. Any information submitted is voluntary. The Contracting Officer will make an acquisition strategy determination based on the results of this market survey.

Prime contractors interested in working at Theodore Roosevelt to remove old asphalt, install new asphalt, and install new adjoining accessible concrete walkways in the North Unit of the park (approximately 6.5 miles from the Park North Unit entrance) should provide a response. We anticipate that work would begin in May of 2021 with a 60-calendar day completion schedule. Due to summer visitation, it is expected that once contractor commences with disturbance of the project area that construction activity persists through completion.

The NAICS code for this project is 238990, Other Specialty Trade Contractors, with a small business size standard of $16.5M. The Magnitude of Construction anticipated is between $100,000 and $250,000. Interested contractors should also consider their bonding capacities when responding.

Overview: This project will include all mobilization, work, labor, and materials to complete this work to include Prime/Subcontracting oversight as follows:

The government anticipates that the work will include removal of approximately 9,740 SF of old asphalt materials to be recycled, grading, preparation for approximately 10,885 SF of new asphalt with 991 SF of accessible concrete adjoining walkways. All asphalt demolished shall be recycled to the greatest extent possible. The use of equipment to prep the areas for the new asphalt installation and to demo the old will be limited to two points of egress by personnel and equipment to limit the damage done to park grounds. The egress points to be used will be a path/road already established. All specifications documents/drawings will be provided if/when the government proceeds with a formal solicitation.
