About this file
This Sources Sought Notice seeks information on the availability and capability of qualified sources to provide a high dimensional Florescence Activated Cell Sorting (FACS) system for single cell isolation to support research at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research Intramural Research Program. The system must be able to accommodate high parameter cell sorting demands including human cell sorting capabilities. Specifically, the notice requests a BD FACSymphony S6 High Parameter SORP cell sorter or equivalent equipped with five lasers capable of analyzing up to 30 different colors plus forward and side scatter. Accompanying consumables, software, installation, training and warranty services are also required. The system must meet stated hardware specifications including the capability of up to 9 lasers and 60 parameters with 58 colors. No award will be made as a result of this notice, which is issued strictly for research and information purposes to help determine the availability of qualified sources and the appropriate acquisition method.

4. NAICS Code/Title: 334516
5. Description:
This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement.
This notice is issued to help determine the availability of qualified companies technically capable of meeting the Government requirement and to determine the method of acquisition. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals or quotes. No award will be made as a result of this notice. The Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by the respondents to this notice. This notice is strictly for research and information purposes only.
Background:
Research in the NIDCR Intramural Research Program revolves around five main research areas: Craniofacial Developmental, Cell and Matrix Biology; Epithelial and Salivary Gland Biology and Dysfunction; Immunology and Inflammation; Sensory Biology; and Skeletal Biology. Within these research areas, our scientists are tasked with elucidating the molecular mechanisms that underlie a plethora of biological processes as they relate to both basic research and disease manifestations in a clinical setting.
The Combined Technical Research Core (CTRC) provides essential Flow Cytometry analysis and Florescence Activated Cell Sorting (FACS) services to the entire NIDCR/DIR and its collaborators.
Purpose and Objectives:
The laboratory requires a high dimensional FACS system for single cell isolation.
Project Requirements:
The instrument shall accommodate high parameter cell sorting demands and safe single cell sigh-content high-parameter cellular including human cell sorting capabilities. The instrument shall be a FACSymphony S6 High Parameter SORP cell sorter or equivalent, a bench-top high speed cell sorter equipped with five lasers (355, 405, 488, 561, and 637nm) capable of analyzing up to 30 different colors plus forward and side scatter. The instrument shall include the following or equivalent:
