This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes and shall NOT be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential qualifications of Small Businesses firms relative to the North American Industry
Classification Code (NAICS) 334516. The Department of Veteran’s Affairs is seeking Small business firms, small manufacturer or distributors of small business manufacturers, of functionally Brand Name or Equal equipment to all the following:

Salient characteristics:
1. The contractor is required to furnish all the following equipment.
Qty 1: Morgue vault cooler This model is configured in a 3x2 configuration with 2 refrigeration units, 1 refrigeration unit for each vertical stack of three custom cooler. The refrigeration units shall be 115v /60Hz units. Cooler is equipped with an individual door with locking door handle, cooler bay shall be 27" wide x 22" tall.
The following are the additional specifications.
• The exterior of Box: The front is type 304 stainless steel with a no. 4 finish, and the top, sides & back are with .040″ stucco embossed aluminum.
• Interior of Box: The walls & ceiling are .040″ stucco embossed aluminum.
• Insulation: 4-inch closed cell density ECO foam with high thermal efficiency and environmentally responsible properties.
• Rack System: Telescoping Slide Rails constructed of extruded aluminum with nylon rollers are standard with these coolers.
• Heavy-duty chrome-plated hardware for durability
• Lighting: Vaporproof light with switch
• Refrigeration: Drop-in self-contained refrigeration system with a digital thermometer.
• The Cooler ships knockdown and will require assembly.
• Includes 23″ Stainless Steel Trays
2. The contractor is responsible for the installation.
3. The vendor is not required to demo the existing morgue cooler units; the VA facility personnel are responsible for demoing and removing them. However, the vendor is responsible for promptly coordinating the installation of the units, which limits the system's downtime.
THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION.
