2.1 SPR Background
South Platte Renew (SPR) operates the third-largest water resource recovery facility (WRRF) in
Colorado, which has a permitted capacity of 50 million gallons per day (mgd). SPR collects all of its critical data from the process control systems within the facility in the Process Information (PI)
System. The PI System is used to connect and transfer data to the Hach WIMS and HMI systems.
This includes but is not limited to flow rates, pressures, levels, motor data, runtimes, amperages, dissolved oxygen, pH, and more. This data is stored in the PI System 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The SPR PI license has 6,000 tags, of which approximately 3,500 are being used. As the facility moves toward implementing additional automation, there will be an increased need for staff to utilize and become proficient in these tools.
OSIsoft is the manufacturer of the PI System used at the facility, and though OSIsoft has Colorado based sales representatives, their local technical representatives are limited. SPR is seeking a consultant who is a certified OSIsoft System Integrator and can provide technical and professional support for SPR’s PI System needs, as well as provide training to staff.

• Data repair
• Assist in the deployment of associated PI System tools such as PI Data Archive, PI
Interfaces, PI Asset Framework, PI Vision, and PI Datalink

• Conduct training for SPR staff on use, build out, and other PI System tools
• Make recommendations on which tools are best suited for SPR needs
• On-call availability
• Local support
