(460) Wilmington, DE 19805 Statement of Need Description: ESG-410 Electrosurgical Generator and Accessories

1. Background: The Wilmington VA Medical Center located at 1601 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805 requires a Brand Name or Equal Electrosurgical Generator with accessories for Urologic Applications. This is to support the Urology and GYN clinics in meeting Veteran’s Healthcare needs.

2. Description of system: The brand name for reference is the Olympus ESG-410. This Electrosurgical Generator will allow for cautery in cavities that are filled with fluids. This is to be utilized during Urologic and GYN procedures.

3. Salient Characteristics:

a. The generator needs to power a wide variety of surgical devices: Plasma resection for urology & gynecology, monopolar resection, bugbees, standard bipolar, advanced bipolar for endoscopic and open procedures.

b. Desired to have multiple energy modalities: hybrid energy, monopolar and bipolar, advanced bipolar, ultrasonic energy, and plasma plus.

c. 5-year warranty.

4. Delivery

Delivery days are Monday through Friday during normal work hours which are defined at 7:30am to 3:00pm. National Holidays are excluded. Any delivery service performed for emergency orders may be delivered other than normal business work hours and must be approved.

The Contractor is not required to provide delivery services on the following National Holidays, nor shall the Contractor be paid for these holidays and any other day declared a national holiday by the President.
