Text version
The proposed contract action is for an acquisition for which the Defense Distribution Center, New Cumberland, PA intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for RTCH 240 V4 Fly-Away Kits. These spare parts kits are utilized for expeditionary operations to provide spare parts in austere environments.
Independent Rough Terrain Center (IRTC) is the only source that can provide these kits due to the proprietary nature of the their knowledge of the equipment the spare parts are forl Any attempt to develop an alternate source to provide these kits would result in a substantial cost to the Government. Accordingly, the Government intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order (FFP) utilizing FAR Part 13 to IRTC for the 2 spare parts kits.
Interested contractors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
The delivery date will be 60 days after receipt of the order.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 333924 with a small business size standard of 750 employees.
