About this file
This justification document supports a sole source award for pressure sensitive tape under solicitation SPMYM223Q2091 issued by the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime. The agency requires pressure sensitive tape for various applications including sealing, marking, and identification. The justification cites the tape manufacturer's unique capabilities including specialized adhesive formulations, proprietary application methods, and established quality control processes tailored to the agency's demanding requirements. A new competitive procurement would delay critically needed supplies and impose substantial transition costs without ensuring additional sources could meet performance standards. Therefore, award to the approved qualified source is deemed to be in the best interest of the government.
