About this file

This document is a justification for a sole source contract award. The Bureau of Reclamation within the Department of the Interior seeks to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to the California Department of Water Resources for security guard services at the Joint Operations Center located in Sacramento, California. Under a memorandum of agreement, the California Department of Water Resources is responsible for managing the facility and awards the contract for security guard services, after which the Bureau of Reclamation reimburses the Department of Water Resources for its share of costs based on occupancy percentage. As a tenant agency in the building, the Bureau of Reclamation does not have the ability to separately contract for these services and must proceed with a sole source award. The anticipated award amount is redacted and the contract was awarded on May 2, 2022 to an unknown vendor for an unknown amount.
