Description of Requirement

Purchasing pump packages for fire prevention technician patrol trucks so they may be adequate at their jobs and perform successfully at task like suppressing abandoned or unattended campfires. Nine out of ten fires are caused by humans, and it is the duty of the prevention technicians to educate the public to help change the statistics of human cause fires. If we can prevent on human caused fire, we have saved money, time and resources.

(d) Comptroller General Examination of Record. General Information

1.0 Scope of Work

Purchasing pump packages for patrol trucks will allow fire prevention technicians to patrol the forests and grasslands recreation areas and have sufficient water to put out campfires or help with initial attack on smaller fires.

Having a patrol truck complete with the pump package (wet unit) allows for fire prevention technicians to educate the public on how they can be safe with fire. It also gives them the proper equipment and opportunity to be sufficient and successful on local, regional, and national assignments. The pump packages will complete the requirements for a fire prevention patrol truck and provides safety to the prevention technicians when performing their duties.

2.0 Background

Purchasing pump packages for fire prevention technician patrol trucks so they may be adequate at their jobs and perform successfully at task like suppressing abandoned or unattended campfires. Nine out of ten fires are caused by humans, and it is the duty of the prevention technicians to educate the public to help change the statistics of human cause fires. If we can prevent on human caused fire, we have saved money, time and resources.
