a. Have a full loop, partial loop or pick up (For small samples) mode
b. Have an injection volume up to 5000 L with 1L increments
c. Must be able to accommodate different racks capable of handling 12-384 samples at a time.
14. The system should be equipped with intelligent components, which means all system components are immediately recognized, instruments and other parameters are automatically integrated into the method, all system and method parameters are permanently checked, and measuring results are traceable to every single step of the analysis
15. Instrument columns must be capable of tracking the number of injections made to the column and have a particle size between 2-5m.
16. The Instrument must be accompanied by a gas absorption module which must be capable of:
a. absorbing gases directly from a gas cylinder into an aqueous medium and transfer it into the ion chromatography system without any user interactions.
b. the application of various sample preparation techniques, such as matrix elimination, pre-concentration and automated calibration.
c. accurately dosing/measuring out a set amount of aqueous absorption medium repeatedly.
d. automated absorber solution loading and rinsing of the absorber vessel between samples.
e. direct transfer of data from 3rd-party devices (i.e. mass-flow controller, MFC).
f. direct interface with a combustion chamber.
g. being housed indoors in a laboratory setting.
h. being installed on a laboratory bench top requiring no more than
17. The gas absorption module must be equipped with:
a. an absorber vessel with a 2 –15 mL absorption solution capacity.
b. a built in electronic leak sensor.
c. an absorber vessel check valve.
d. two liquid handling vessels (5mL & 10mL, 20mL or 50mL).
e. a 6-port valve capable of pre-concentration with matrix elimination.
f. 10-port low pressure valve for liquid handling.
18. The IC instrument, auto sampler and absorber unit shall be controlled with a single vendor software supplied by the vendor.
19. Instrument software shall provide:
a. Remote file access and full network capability.
b. Have software technical support for at least 5 years for troubleshooting and software/firmware updates.
c. a customizable graphic user interface.
d. remote access to all files and have full network capability without the use of any additional software licenses.
20. Instrument software shall be capable of:
a. tracking all QC samples and notify when a failure occurs.
b. automatically checking all results within the set calibration range or against any limits set by the analyst.
c. giving pop up warning messages to notify of any system or method parameter that needs operator attention outside of an audit trail.
