Data Logging Software Part Number

Data logging software, for use on NIST supplied computer, to allow data‐logging of all data downloaded from control system.

Signals logged:

‐Extruder speed (rpm)

‐Extruder torque (%)

‐Barrel, die temperatures (°C)

‐Melt temperature (°C)

‐Pressure (bar)

‐Feeder rate (%, kg/h)

Delivery

The contractor shall delivery the item not later than 75 days after award.

The item shall be delivered FOB Destination Shipping Terms to:

The National Institute of Standards and Technology

100 Bureau Drive

Gaithersburg, MD 20899

Installation and Training:

The contractor shall install the equipment not later than 30 days after delivery.

The contractor shall provide training for 3 NIST employees after installation on the assembly and operation of the system.

Acceptance Criteria

Upon installation, the contractor shall perform the following

Visual inspection of the delivered units and parts for damages.

Demonstration of the instruments ability to utilize typical polymer pellets and powders, and melt, mix, extrude and convey them.

Demonstration of the instruments ability to provide data for data logging on user supplied computer.

Demonstration of the screw extruder software to aid in screw design on user supplied computer.

The demonstration of the above may occur during training. Final acceptance by the Government will be given after successful delivery, installation, training and demonstration of instrumentation specifications.

Warranty:

The Contractor shall provide, at a minimum, a one year warranty for the equipment. The warranty shall cover all parts, labor and travel. The warranty shall commence upon successful completion of delivery, installation, training and demonstration of all required specifications.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Safety: The Contractor employee shall be responsible for knowing and complying with NIST installation safety prevention regulations (http://www‐i.nist.gov/mml/safety/policies/index.htm.) Such regulations include, but are not limited to, general safety, fire prevention, and waste disposal.
