STATEMENT OF WORK

Objective/Requirements This service agreement would provide coverage for our new Bruker D8 Discover (277992) diffractometer. We may expect to have issues as we work with our complex microdiffraction setup and capillary stage, as well as work on an increasing number of different projects with the diffractometer. Visits by the contractor personnel are likely to be needed. It is also advantageous to have a dedicated annual preventative maintenance visit to be sure the instrument is kept in best working order, especially since it supports an increasing number of projects.

Characteristics, Scope, and Specs The service engineer will perform a range of service and preventative maintenance work.

a. One Preventative Maintenance (PM) visit will occur per year of the contract period (includes travel costs).

b. Labor and travel costs for one emergency visit, separate from the PM visit, included

c. Phone and web support included Some parts needed for this work are included or discounted.

Place of Performance

The instrument service work will take place in a laboratory at NASA GSFC.

Period of Performance Two years starting June of 2026.
