About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the requirements for a 355 nm high energy pulsed laser system for NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. The contract is firm fixed price and requires the design, fabrication, testing, and delivery of a single laser unit with specific performance specifications: 355 nm wavelength, pulse energy ≥15 mJ, 5 ns (+/- 1.0 ns) pulse width, 0-20 Hz pulse repetition frequency, and dimensions less than 7.0" x 3.0" x 3.0".

The vendor must deliver one laser system meeting the outlined specifications, including driving electronics and operational instructions, within six months of order receipt. Delivery will be to NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD, with the system subject to acceptance criteria demonstrating performance specifications and successful vendor acceptance testing. The vendor must coordinate with NASA's designated point of contact and comply with security and receiving procedures prior to shipment.

355 nm High Energy Pulsed Laser System Delivery

1. Introduction This Statement of Work defines the tasks and deliverables associated with the build, test, and delivery of a 355 nm, pulsed laser system to be delivered to NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.

The proposed effort is being offered under a firm fixed price contract.

2. Scope of Work The scope of this effort includes the design, fabrication, testing, and delivery of a single 355 nm, pulsed laser unit with the following performance specifications:

Wavelength: 355 nm

Pulse Width: 5 ns (+/- 1.0 ns) Pulse Repetition Frequency: 0 - 20 Hz

Laser Dimensions: < 7.0" x 3.0" x 3.0"

This scope includes all hardware, support electronics, and documentation necessary for end-user integration and operation.

3. Deliverables The selected vendor will provide the following deliverables:

One (1) 355 nm laser system meeting the specifications outlined above, with a dataset provided by the vendor to validate performance

Driving electronics needed for laser operation

Operational instructions

4. Schedule / Lead Time The lead time for delivery is six (6) months from the date of receipt of order. Any delays in technical clarification, contract execution, or funding release may affect the delivery timeline.

6. Acceptance Criteria The delivered system will be deemed acceptable upon demonstration that it meets the required specifications outlined in Section 2 and successful completion of vendor acceptance testing, as witnessed by the customer or via acceptance report.

7. Delivery Location The completed laser system and all associated deliverables shall be shipped to the following address:

NASA Goddard Space Flight Center 8800 Greenbelt Road

Greenbelt, MD 20771

All shipments must comply with NASA security and receiving procedures. The vendor shall coordinate with the designated NASA point of contact prior to shipment.
