About this file
This document describes a Seagate storage solution selected for a research project by DUCT^2, focused on cryogenic transfer technologies for space missions. The storage system will accommodate approximately 1.9 petabytes of experimental data, including a 10% overhead margin, with a fast interface capable of downloading data between experiments. Two specific manufacturing part numbers are referenced: SG-CUSTOMCONFIG and ST-COR-P-SS-3Y-STO. The solution will support research aimed at decreasing uncertainty in cryogenic propellant transfer technologies, which are critical for space exploration.

Text version
The Seagate storage solution was identified as the best product to use for our project. Extensive market research was done in identifying a viable storage solution to store the total experimental data. The interface was identified to be fast enough to download data during the time in between experiments. Overhead in the storage unit was accounted for and will be able to accommodate our total data amount, which is ~1.9 PB. This number includes a 10% margin (the Streampix software was identified to have minimal overhead). This solution will help DUCT^2 store data that would be studied to decrease uncertainty in cryogenic transfer technologies, which are imperative for space missions that use cryogens, such as for propellant.
