About this file
The document is a Statement of Work (SOW) from NASA Glenn Research Center's Ceramic and Polymer Composites Branch, detailing the requirement to purchase 2 hydraulic grip supply controllers for tensile test machines located in building 106, room 137. The existing MTS-manufactured hydraulic grip supply units are experiencing performance issues, specifically leaking and failing to maintain pressure, necessitating replacement with identical units from the same manufacturer to ensure compatibility with existing test rig equipment. The SOW is associated with a sole source procurement for MTS Systems Corporation, with the procurement being managed by NASA/NSSC and performance located at NASA Glenn Research Center, targeting high-temperature, long-term materials testing capabilities.

Statement of Work
NASA Glenn Research Center, Ceramic and Polymer Composites Branch (LMC) proposes to purchase 2 hydraulic grip supply controllers for our tensile test machines in building 106, room 137. The test rigs are used for high temperature, long-term materials testing. The grips on the machine were made by MTS and the hydraulic grip supply units are leaking and not maintaining pressure. The replacement unit is from the same company, and therefore, compatible with the existing grips.
