About this file
This is a Recommendation and Determination to Solicit from One Source document from NASA Shared Services Center, recommending sole source negotiation with EOS North America for extended warranty coverage on EOS M290 and M100 machines. The period of performance is 1 year starting from the expiration of the current warranty on January 30, 2025.
The justification for sole source is based on EOS North America having sole proprietary rights to the technologies involved in the EOS M290 and M100 machines. The document states that no other vendor can satisfy the requirement, as using other sources would void vendor warranties and maintenance contracts. Additionally, EOS North America is uniquely capable of performing hardware and software maintenance while maintaining compatibility with peripheral systems. The maintenance is required to maintain ISO9001 equipment calibration standards compliance. The total estimated cost is redacted in the document.
