About this file

This Statement of Work outlines NASA Goddard Space Flight Center's requirements for ARENA FPGA digital modules for their High Altitude Radar group. The procurement requires specific radar modules including: 1 ASM-A0001-00 ARENA CTU with 4 Micro D, 2 ASM-00413-00 ARENA 413 Modules with USB3, 2 ASM-00111-02 2.4 GHz 14-bit Digital to Analog Converter Cards, and 2 ASM-00141-00 2.4 GHz 14-bit Dual Channel Analog to Digital Converter Cards. These modules provide digital control, processing, and data storage for NASA/GSFC airborne radars operating from X-band (9.6 GHz) through W-band (94 GHz).

The contractor must perform electrical and other testing of the modules with documentation and provide a 1-year warranty. The place of performance is NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD, with a 22-week period of performance from November 18, 2024 through April 18, 2025. The modules are designed to match existing ARENA modules to leverage prior airborne system development at Goddard.

STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements

This purchase is for ARENA FPGA digital modules for the NASA/ Goddard Space Flight Cetner (GSFC) High Altitude Radar group. This group builds airborne radars from X-band (9.6 GHz) through W-band (94 GHz).

The ARENA FPGA radar modules are electronics boards that provide all the digital control, processing, and data storage for the NASA/GSFC airborne radars. The modules listed below match existing ARENA modules so leverage significant prior airborne system development at Goddard.

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

The contractor shall provide the following:

• ASM-A0001-00, QTY 1

o ARENA CTU w/4 Micro D

• ASM-00413-00, QTY 2

o ARENA 413 Module w/ USB3 (Standard) o Each configured with 1x ASM-00111-02 (2.4 GHz 14-bit DAC) and 1x ASM-

00141-00 (14-bit DAC).

• ASM-00111-02, QTY 2

o 2.4 GHz 14-bit Digital to Analog Converter Card (AD9129) (CTU 4 I/O) o Each contained within one of the ASM-00413-00 modules above.

• ASM-00141-00, QTY 2

o 2.4 GHz 14-bit Dual Channel Analog to Digital Converter Card (AD9689) o Each contained within one of the ASM-00413-00 modules above
