About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement of six (6) MV100HLT solenoid valves by the NASA Shared Services Center. The contractor shall manufacture, functionally test, and deliver the solenoid valves with specific characteristics, including the use of Vespel valve seats, EPR seals, and AS5202-04 fluid interface connections. An analysis package verifying the burst pressure of the valves and a new drawing of the valve model are also required. The valves must be delivered to the Kennedy Space Center by February 28, 2025 to support NASA thermal vacuum testing. This procurement is being conducted as a sole source to Marotta Controls Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), as Marotta Controls Inc. is the sole provider of the MV100HLT valves.

STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Objective/Requirements On-orbit and Lunar/Martian spacecraft servicing is an emerging field of engineering that many future missions are planning to utilize. The importance of this emerging field has been recognized at the highest levels of the U.S. government, including the White House.
Several components must be designed, built, tested, validated, and qualified for reliable operation for in-space or non-terrestrial environments to enable effective, safe, and low-cost spacecraft servicing. Solenoid valves are required to test these components in a thermal vacuum chamber with gaseous helium and supercritical xenon. NASA Shared Services Center has a requirement for procurement of these solenoid valves.
2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs
The contractor shall perform the following duties:
• Manufacture, functionally test, and deliver six (6) MV100HLT solenoid valves
• Use Vespel valve seats
• Use EPR seals
• Use AS5202-04 fluid interface connections
• Include an Analysis Package that verifies the burst pressure of the MV100HLT valve of at least 16,000 psi
• Include a new drawing of valve model
• Include relevant information from the “as-run” acceptance test procedure for each valve
• Ship the units to the following address:
o Transportation Officer, NASA Central Supply, Bldg. M6-744 Kennedy Space Center, FL 32899 Attn: Brian Nufer, VAB Room 1K13 Desk: 321-861-7311
• Complete order in a timely manner to support NASA thermal vacuum testing in the spring of 2025
• Quality requirements shall be per the standard vendor processes
3. Place of Performance NASA John F. Kennedy Space Center
4. Period of Performance Delivery of the solenoid valves with their associated paperwork shall be before February 28, 2025.
