About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement of a 320 nm diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) laser for the NASA Pandora Project's calibration facility. The laser must have a narrow linewidth of less than 1 pm, a wavelength stability of less than 1 pm per hour, and a minimum power output of 5 mW. The laser is required to have a mean time before failure of at least 5,000 hours. This laser will be used to provide accurate slit function diagnostics and stray light measurements for the Pandora instruments. The related federal contract opportunity, Solicitation Number 80NSSC25883054Q, is being issued by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center, a civilian federal agency.

Statement of work 320 nm DPSS laser

The NASA Pandora Project operates a calibration facility to calibrate Pandora instruments.

Lasers of various wavelengths are used to provide calibration data. We require a 320 nm laser with narrow linewidth (< 1 pm) in order to provide accurate slit function diagnostics and stray light measurements. The laser wavelength needs to be stable to < 1 pm/1 hr. The laser power must be at least 5 mW. The laser is expected to last at least 5000 hrs mean time before failure.
