HRPB Consulting Skills Statement of Work

Background The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), through the Office of Chief Human Capital Officer, is soliciting a proposal from top-tier public and private-sector companies interested in providing a training program designed to enhance consulting skills across the organization, emphasizing relationship-building, effective communication, and successful project execution.

The program should be delivered in a series of interactive virtual sessions, targeting professionals responsible for developing collaborative approaches to improving performance and delivering expertise across boundaries.

Learning Objectives

• Develop skills that increase an employee’s ability to have a strong and positive impact on their customer’s business results. Specific outcomes include:

o Negotiating more effective and enduring agreements across boundaries.

o Partnering with others.

o Developing techniques for defining roles and responsibilities and clarifying expectations.

o Developing the ability to assertively express needs for successful partnerships.

o Understanding how expertise can be utilized in complex organizational systems.

o Avoid no-win consulting situations.

Deliverables

• Workshop Sessions o Delivery of workshops o Interactive simulations, role-playing exercises, and business simulations to reinforce learning

• Participant Materials o Job aids, additional concept booklets, and other materials.

• Individual Coaching o Virtual coaching sessions for each participant, scheduled post-workshop, focusing on the application of skills learned to real customer or project challenges.

NASA is committed to limiting risk for our agency, our employees, and participating organizations specific to ethics, data and information rights, and organizational conflicts of interest. All proposals will be reviewed and approved by our Office of General Counsel. NASA will work in partnership with industry organization to confirm mutual needs and agreements in these areas and any others needed.
