STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Objective/Requirements The Flight Loads Lab (FLL) need to procure time-delay fuses for use in its power control cabinets (PCCs) to support current and future operations of the lab in support of high-temperature thermal tests.
2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs
The fuses shall not have been used in any applications prior to delivery
The fuses shall be rated to the following specifications:
Electrical Requirements:
• Voltage ratings:
o 600 VAC o 300 VDC when the current is 0.8 to 100 Amps o 500 VDC when the current is 110 to 600 Amps
• Current ratings:
o Amperage Range: 0.8 to 600 Amps
• Interrupting Rating:
o AC: 200 kA rms symmetrical o DC: 20 Ka
• Must meet UL Standard 248-8, Class J rating/approval o Must hold 500% of input current for a minimum of 10 seconds
Mechanical requirements Dimensions of the fuse must be as follows:
• 146.1 mm long
• 38.1 mm high
• 28.6 mm thick, maximum (can be thinner)
• The fuse must have mechanical mounting points on each side that are between
108.7 mm and 113.5 mm apart.
3. Place of Performance Armstrong Flight Research Center in Edwards, California.
4. Period of Performance/lead time The fuses shall be delivered by 25 November 2024.
