About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the preventative maintenance of two (2) EOS M100 laser powder bed fusion metal additive manufacturing systems at the NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC). The SOW requires the maintenance to be performed by OEM certified technicians using OEM parts, and includes an EOS System Care Program - MaintenanceFlex. The program covers visual inspection, function testing, component cleaning and lubrication, software support, and other maintenance activities.
The related federal contract opportunity is a sole source acquisition for the EOS Service Agreement for the two (2) EOS M100 printers at NASA GRC. The procurement will be conducted under FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 for commercial items and services. The government intends to award the contract to PHILLIPS CORPORATION, the sole provider of the required EOS service agreement. The NAICS code is 811210, and the agency is the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center. Interested parties may submit their capabilities in writing by 12 p.m. Central Standard Time on 7/11/2024 for the government's consideration.

STATEMENT OF WORK
Preventative Maintenance for Two (2) EOS M100 Printers
NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) is interested in the preventative maintenance of two (2) EOS M100 laser powder bed fusion metal additive manufacturing systems.
Specifically, the preventative maintenance must be performed by OEM certified technicians and repairs must be made using OEM parts.
1) EOS System Care Program – MaintenanceFlex to include (as available for EOS M100):
i. Inspection by EOS
1. Visual Inspection and function test of important assemblies
2. Measurement for correct setting of electrical and mechanical components or assemblies
3. Inspection of the optical system including focus position, skywriting and laser power
4. Check of safety-critical joints/connections for correct seating (bolts, hoses, electrical and optical connections)
5. Check of the safety circuit and its correct function
6. Test run without powder or exposure (process conditions are established, platform movements, safe operation)
ii. Maintenance by EOS
1. Cleaning work that cannot be undertaken by the user due to trim panel elements or safety features
2. Check on the safety circuit and its correct function
3. Replacement of wearing Parts (preventive replacement of defined components specified for Maintenance)
4. Cleaning and lubrication of components
5. Checking and adjusting electrical and mechanical components
6. Check on the laser power (inside the process chamber)
7. Maintenance of chiller
8. Visual inspection and function test on the assemblies serviced
9. Test run without powder or exposure (process conditions are established, platform movements, safe operation)
iii. Service according to effort
1. In the MaintenanceFlex and HealthCheck packages, the effort required of the service engineer to rectify malfunctions undertaken at the location of the system is billed separately.
iv. Monday-Friday (business hours) phone support
1. Response time: 8 hours
v. Best effort reaction time on-site
vi. Basic software support
1. Hotline support and Remote Service for the rectification of malfunctions.
