About this file
This statement of work outlines requirements for purchasing freezers to support the NASA Biorepository known as NBISC. NBISC needs to purchase Stirling Ultracold Model SU780XLE Ultra-Low Temperature Upright Freezers from Global Cooling to maintain its collection of biological tissues from NASA-funded spaceflight and ground studies, predominantly mice and rats but also some quail tissues. The tissues are stored at temperatures ranging from -80C to ambient depending on preservation method across various body systems. Delivery of the freezers is to be made to NASA Ames Research Center within 15 days of award or according to a shipping schedule determined by NBISC, with partial delivery permitted. The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation number 80NSSC23846747Q from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center seeking offers for the freezers to support NBISC.

STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Objective/Requirements
NBISC is a biorepository of non-human samples collected from NASA-funded spaceflight investigations and correlative ground studies. The purpose of NBISC is to receive, store, document, preserve, and make the collection available to the scientific community.
Biological tissues are predominantly from mice and rats, with some available from quail. Tissues are from musculoskeletal, neurosensory, reproductive, respiratory, circulatory, and digestive systems and stored at -80°C, -20°C, +4°C, or ambient, depending on the preservation method. To maintain tissue collection, NBISC needs to purchase freezers.
