About this file
This document outlines a statement of work for a software license renewal. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center is seeking to renew its license for the Wireless Insite wireless communications simulation and modeling software from the developer Remcom for one additional year. The Wireless Insite product is preferred due to its established modeling and simulation capabilities for wireless links of interest to the agency, including built-in propagation models, diffuse scattering, MIMO beamforming, and material customization. While competitors exist, Wireless Insite has been assessed and determined to meet the project's objectives. The attached quote for the appropriate Wireless Insite package is included to fulfill the renewal.

Description of Procurement
This procurement is for the purchase of wireless communications simulation and modeling software, Wireless Insite. This software has been used by the project for the previous year and this is a renewal of the license for another year. The specifications needed are:
Communication system simulation and modeling including built-in propagation models
(e.g. X3D, vertical plane), diffuse scattering, MIMO beamforming and spatial multiplexing, communication system analysis, ray-tracing, material customization.
Wireless Insite is an off-the-shelf commercial package with these capabilities. The company preferred is Remcom, the developer of Wireless Insite, and a quote for the appropriate software package is attached. This company is preferred because the Wireless
Insite product is an established modeling and simulation software and includes specific capability for analysis of wireless links that are of interest. While competitors may exist, this particular software has been assessed and determined to be suitable to meet project objectives.
