Statement of Work
The Contractor shall provide maintenance to maintain original equipment performance specifications on a FEI Talos F200S Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope (STEM) serial number D6342.
The Contractor shall provide one (1) planned preventive maintenance inspections per year.
Modifications, repairs, and/or adjustments shall be made to correct deviations from the manufacturer’s stated performance when necessary due to normal usage in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Major parts coverage including system software or software upgrades applicable to current configuration shall be included. The Contractor shall exchange or modify components when in the best interest of the Government, and approved by the Contracting Officer or Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR).
In addition to the regularly scheduled maintenance visits, the Contractor shall provide 4-hour targeted telephone support, 48-hour targeted onsite labor response from when contacted by the Contracting Officer or Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR). These service visits shall include unlimited labor hours (including travel time and expenses), all necessary spare parts (including all accessories listed on the contract), replacement FEG tip (for applicable products), one preventive maintenance visit (per year) and software updates. Parts are subject to availability, and contractor will make commercially reasonable effort to ship any replacement parts within 24 hours of authorization for a part or component. Any parts that need repair will be returned after appropriate authorization by the contractor.
The Government may conduct basic maintenance such as cleaning/replacing apertures and o-rings. Also, the Government may choose to attempt simple adjustments or repairs, under the direction of the Contractor, when it is in the Government's best interest to quickly correct problems; however successful repairs remain the Contractor's final responsibility.
All services shall be performed by factory-trained service engineers.
Service shall include, labor, travel, living expenses, and replacement of all defective components with exception of those listed below.
Parts not covered: third party software, all system consumables, including:
calibration and testing samples, wearable vacuum parts (Hot/Cold Cathode Gauges, pump seals), sample grids and similar carriers, disposables, apertures and small tooling. Parts not covered by the service contract can be purchased for a 15% discount from the contractor’s current list price.
