STATEMENT OF WORK
Objective/Requirements
NASA Langley Research Center has a requirement for Montena Technology sa Pulse Generation hardware and software or Equal.
Characteristics, Scope, and Specs
Item Units Product Description
Transportable NEMP Test System for Small Pieces of Equipment according to MIL-
STD-461 / RS105 OR EQUAL
1.0 1 Montena EMP25K-2-23 or EQUAL
Pulse generator according to MIL-Std 461 versions E, F and G /
RS105, with its high voltage discharging box to connected the below RL50-50 line. Loading voltage: ≤ +0.2 kV to ≥ +25 kV, positive polarity.
Remote control possible via RS232 or USB interface.
2.0 1 Montena RL50-50 or EQUAL
50 cm high radiation line to be connected to the EMP25K-2-23, for a test amplitude of 50 kV/m. The line includes the metallic ground plane and can be easily transported.
Electric Field Monitoring Sensor
3.0 1 Ground plane E-field monitor or EQUAL
Consists of the following:
• 1 x SGE3-5G: "D-dot" E-field derivative sensor
• 1 x C3-SN: semi-rigid coaxial cable SMA-N, 3m
• 1 x ITR1U2-A: integration circuit; Passive integrator for field sensors, T = 1.2 us, connectors: N female (sensor side) - BNC male (oscilloscope)
Test and Measurement Software
4.0 1 PULSELab or EQUAL
Generic pulse measurement and processing software application, life-time license for 1 computer
• Product must be compliant with MIL-STD-464 and MIL-STD-461, and must consist of a pulse generator, radiation line, ground plane, ground plane e-field monitor, and test and measurement software.
• Product must be a tabletop pulse generation system that could output a pulse equivalent to a nuclear high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (NEMP/HEMP).
Place of Performance
NASA Langley Research Center
Period of Performance
12-14 weeks ARO
