Navigation System Prognostic Service Development FY23-FY24

Description: This task will mature a collaboratively developed modeling and simulation (M&S) tool designed to assess the performance Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) in complex environments.

Existing validated M&S tools will be used to the greatest degree possible. This new capability that has been prototyped and demonstrated to be feasible will continue to be developed into a prognostic service to provide the infrastructure necessary for future AAM/UAM operations. This development will incorporate GPS and other viable GNSS services to provide the end user with the flexibility necessary to support mission-critical advanced air mobility capabilities.

Task Structure: The continuation task will focus on the final deployment of a designed prognostic service.

Modeling tool deployment and transition o Support modeling tool deployment in a representative compute architecture o Provide transition support for modeling tool to non-NASA users o Implement incorporation of sensor network measurements into the model

Technical Details: NASA seeks to extend the modeling capability developed in previous tasking to include additional geographic regions, incorporate GPU acceleration, and add measurements from local monitoring receivers.
