Text version

This is the statement of work for the conversion of pLEDss modules for PPE from cross-flow to push-pull cooling.

Revision 2. February 28, 2023.

PLEDSS PUSH-PULL COOLING CONVERSION FOR PPE STATEMENT OF WORK

BACKGROUND

This statement of work covers all tasks needed to convert the 240 5J1 pLEDss LED modules from their existing cross-flow cooling configuration to the configuration needed for integration into PPE, which is push-pull cooling. Push-pull cooling is needed to be compatible with the PPE morphing concept. The 240 LED modules are not included and are being transferred to NASA .

The mechanization frame is not included, and is covered by an existing contract . These 3 elements (this SOW, LED module transfer contract) are all that is needed.

WORK PLAN

1. Inspect incoming LED modules

2. Test incoming LED modules using production, module-level, manufacturing test

3. Reverse fans as needed to achieve appropriate push-pull cooling flow direction

4. Add ¾ or full separators between modules to achieve needed push-pull cooling flow routine

5. Test completed modules using production, module-level, manufacturing test

6. Install LED modules on 30x10 frame for initial risk reduction, calibration validation test in advance of completion of PPE pLEDss mechanization frame

Inlet and outlet ducting is not included here, because it is part of the mechanization frame and is covered by existing contract .
