About this file

This document contains guidance on submitting Source Approval Requests (SARs) to the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation (DLA Aviation) as well as details of a related federal contract opportunity. The SAR guidance indicates that SARs should be submitted directly to the buyer listed in any open solicitation for a national stock number. It notes that SARs will not be evaluated for fully competitive items and provides instructions for submitting SARs when no solicitation exists, including reviewing item demand on the Supplier Requirements Visibility Application. The document also provides details on where to find information on which military services manage particular items and approved sources through the PUB LOG FLIS database. It states the review process for SARs can take over 180 days.

The related federal contract opportunity is a request for information regarding national stock number 3110016745116 for an omni directional roller. It provides contact information for Kee-Sha Eskridge at DLA Aviation and requests sources and points of contact for any manufacturers of this item, including their location. It notes this request is for information only and not a solicitation.
