About this file
This document outlines the salient characteristics for a multibeam bathymetry system procurement. The system must include a 400 kHz multibeam echosounder with 256-512 beams and a depth range of 0.2-275 meters, integrated with a GNSS/INS system for positioning. Additional requirements include a compact terrestrial laser scanner for above-water mapping, a sound velocity profiler capable of depths to 500 meters, and a pole mounting kit to integrate all components on a vessel up to speeds of 8 knots. The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the US Geological Survey Office of Acquisitions and Grants seeking to procure this turnkey multibeam bathymetry system as identified by solicitation number 140G0124Q0036.
