BOREHOLE VIDEO INSPECTION SYSTEM

Borehole Video Inspection System Shall consist of a portable, self-contained, downhole video inspection system consisting of a two-wheeled cart with electric reel assembly, cable, boom, control unit, 12-volt battery, and dual-camera probe for water well inspections.

Shall include an electric powered reel assembly with a variable speed motor controller and at least 1000 ft. of Kevlar-reinforced coax cable for lowering/raising the camera in a well.

Reel assembly winch shall be gear-driven and include a “level wind” spooling feature and capable of operating at speeds up to 9 RPM’s.

Shall include counter assembly with a 100 pulse per revolution optical encoder.

Shall include an extendable/removable boom arm and handle assembly capable of extending up to 3 feet for positioning probe over a well.

Shall include a Control Unit with a 9” LCD video color display, DVR (with playback feature) with at least 16 GB of memory, and all electronics and controls/features necessary to operate the camera and reel assembly.

Control unit shall include a Bluetooth keyboard (QWERTY) and an on-screen depth counter display.

The Control Unit shall be housed in a portable, hard cover, carrying/storage case with locking mechanism.

Cart assembly shall include a shelf, or horizontal surface, sufficient to support the Control Unit, described herein, during operation.

Shall include a AGM type 12 VDC battery with voltmeter and charger.

System shall include a battery compartment for housing the 12 VDC battery.

The down-hole camera probe assembly shall include 2 cameras for viewing down-hole and side-view images. Cameras shall be capable of continuous 360o rotation.

Camera probe housing shall be watertight, constructed of stainless steel, and capable of withstanding at least 500 psi.

Camera probe shall include water-clear, adjustable brightness, LED’s for down-hole lighting purposes.

Shall include camera centering bands.

Shall be capable of operating over a temperature range from at least 0 to 50o C.

System shall be delivered with all required accessories necessary to operate the system including, but not limited, to, power and control cables, battery charger, centering bands, and camera case.

Downhole Camera Shall be compatible with the Borehole Video Inspection System described above.

Shall consist of a downhole camera capable of being used in wells and boreholes as small as 2 in. in diameter.

Camera probe housing shall be watertight, constructed of stainless steel, capable of withstanding at least 500 psi, and no larger than 1.75 in in diameter by 18” in length.

Camera probe shall have LED’s for down-hole lighting purposes.

Shall include adjustable camera centering bands.

Shall include a “down-viewing” camera.

Shall be capable of operating from 12 VDC power.

Shall be capable of operating over a temperature range from at least 0 to 50o C.

Shall be provided with carrying case, adjustable centering bands, and a cable head protector.
