Salient Characteristics for

60 MXS/MXMD

TACAN Spectrum Analyzer Acquisition

60 MXS / MXMD requires a replacement Spectrum Analyzer to support TACtical Air Navigation (TACAN) calibration capability at Travis Air Force Base.

The contractor shall provide the following:

Replacement Spectrum Analyzer

- The Spectrum Analyzer shall have a frequency range of no less than 10 Hz to 26.5 GHz

- The Spectrum Analyzer shall have internal oscillator accuracy of no less than 10 MHz +/-

1 X 10 -7

- The RF Spectrum Analyzer shall sufficient scale fidelity to make amplitude measurements; the minimum use specification is +/- 1 dB with critical measurement range of -15 dBm to -55 dBm; increased scale fidelity accuracy is highly desirable

- All other specifications of the Spectrum Analyzer shall meet or exceed the performance use specifications of the HP 8566B Spectrum Analyzer

- The Spectrum Analyzer shall be equipped with a video out module which shall output to a BNC connector; an RG223

- The Spectrum Analyzer shall be equipped with an industry standard GPIB/IEEE

- The replacement item shall have a warranty period of 3 years, which shall include repair/replacement of any defective components, or performance failure

- The replacement item shall be furnished with the required accessories to neatly, and professionally mount the item in a rack/calibration console

- The RF Spectrum Analyzer shall be of a make/model that is already in common use with the United States Air Force; models supported by existing automated certification procedures are highly desirable

- The replacement item shall be shipped with a current accredited calibration certificate

- An acceptable example which would meet or exceed the requirements above is the Rohde

& Schwarz FSV 3030 w/ FSV3-B5 OR equivalent

Special Requirements:

- The replacement item shall be safely and securely packaged, and shipped to the 60th Maintenance Squadron via traceable mean in a timely manner once the contract is awarded. The time between contract award and delivery of the item shall not exceed 8 weeks.
