300 AMP TIG/Stick Welding Power Source Specification Sheet

DOC # 3127-3347

Must have Max. Open Circuit Voltage 60 VDC** Dimensions must be H: 13.88 in. (352 mm) W: 8.5 in. (216 mm) D: 21.88 in. (555 mm) for easy maneuverability Net Weight must be 55 lb. for safety of portability Must be CSA Certified equipment Must be able to hook up to a water cooled unit Must have cooled water supply feature which is an integrated 120-volt dedicated use receptacle for the water cooled unit Must meet the following specifications while using AC TIG process:

· AC TIG Balance control must provide adjustable oxide removal which is essential for creating the highest quality aluminum welds

· Frequency must control the width of the arc cone and can improve directional control of the arc

· AC Waveforms with: Advanced square must provide a fast freezing puddle, deep penetration and fast travel speeds. Soft square must provide for a soft buttery arc with maximum puddle control and good wetting action. Sine must provide for customers that like a traditional arc. Quiet with good wetting. Triangular must reduce the heat input and is good on thin aluminum and fast travel speeds. Independent amplitude/amperage control must allow EP and EN amperages to be set independently to precisely control heat input to the work and electrode.

Must have Independent amplitude/amperage control allows EP and EN amperages to be set independently to precisely control heat input to the work and electrode Must be able to do the following processes: AC TIG HF, DC TIG HF, AC TIG Lift-Arc, DC TIG Lift-Arc, AC Stick, DC Stick, and Carbon Arc Gouge Must have easy to understand interface with 4.5-inch LCD display which ensures proper machine setup, parameter selection, informative on-screen explanations and dynamic images which enhances the parameter selection process.

Must have program memory which allows easy naming, saving and recalling of favorite weld settings. Which will deliver more productivity by eliminating the need to manually set the parameters and deliver consistent quality for welders.

Must have consistent high-frequency (HF) arc starts.

Must allow for any input voltage hookup (208-600V) with no manual linking, providing convenience in any job setting (ideal solution for dirty or unreliable power).

Must be able to lock and limit machine programing which provides control of weld parameter ranges minimizing deviation from welding procedure specification.

Must have USB front panel port to provide the ability to easily update software, back-up settings and transfer saved weld programs from one unit to the net.

Must have a cooling feature that operates the auxiliary cooling system only when needed, reducing noise, energy use and airborne contaminants pulled through the cooler.

Must have input power of 208–600 V, 3-phase or 1-phase power.

Must have amperage range of 1–300 A (DC), 2–300 A (AC).

Must meet the following specifications while using DC TIG: must have exceptionally smooth and precise arc for welding exotic materials. Square pulse waveform must provide a fast freezing puddle for ultimate arc control. Sine pulse waveform must produce a reduced audible sound and provides a more fluid puddle that is good for overlaying applications. Triangular pulse waveform must provide a quick-forming puddle while further reducing heat for thin materials.

Must meet the following specifications while using AC/DC Stick: DIG control must allow the arc characteristics to be changed for specific applications and electrodes. Hot Start adaptive control must provide positive arc starts without sticking. AC frequency control must add stability for smoother welds when AC stick welding. Stick-Stuck must detect if the electrode is stuck to the part and turns the welding output off to safely and easily remove the electrode and must be menu selectable.

TIG GTAW (3-phase and 1-phase) must have a rated output on 60% duty cycle of 250Amps at 20V. (3-phase and 1-phase) and must have a welding amperage range from 2-300AMPs (AC) and 1-300A (DC) Stick SMAW (3-phase and 1-phase) must have a welding amperage range from 5-300 Amps, Rated output at 60% duty cycle of 250 amps at 30V (3-phase) and 200 amps at 27.2V (1-phase) Must have Carbon Arc Gouging (CAC-A) maximum of 3/16 in. (4.8 mm) Must have AC TIG Material Thickness Range of 0.012–3/8 in. (0.3–9.5 mm) Must have DC TIG Material Thickness Range of 0.004–3/8 in. (0.1–9.5 mm) Control Panel must have Color LCD Display, Soft Keys (Multiple functions depending on screen displayed.), Control Knob (Adjusts amperage or parameter values depending on mode), Home Button, Program Button and USB Port Must be able to store 1-99 programs with user defined program names Must have a pre-flow of 0.0-25.0 seconds and post-flow of Auto/off-50 seconds DIG must be able to be set from off to 100% Must have trigger options of Remote Standard: Foot, Finger, Pushbutton. Sequencer: Pushbutton Hold (2T), 3T 4T, 4TE, 4TL, and 4TM
