About this file
This document outlines the salient characteristics for a dose calibrator and well counter procurement by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 21. The dose calibrator must include features such as a color touch screen over 8 inches, USB connections, printing capability, 28 programmable nuclide keys, a repository of at least 60 nuclides for selection, dose calibration and quality control functions, automatic chamber QC including linearity, a printer for records, a 256 channel MCA with spectral analysis, a well counter for wipe and laboratory tests, user-defined wipe test protocols, automated well QC including chi-square and MDA, manual and automatic ROI, a preset key for F-18, and printable reports. The device must also meet specifications for siting on a standard countertop, detector type, ion chamber components and functions, electrometer and linearity accuracy, power requirements, and compatibility standards.
