About this file

This document is a product specification for a 1" Potable Water Supply Hose Assembly that is 25 feet long. The hose is designed for temporary potable water transfer services and must meet certain technical requirements, such as a working pressure of 150 PSI, burst pressure of 1,000 PSI, and temperature range of -25°F to 180°F. The hose must be constructed with specific materials, including white chlorobutyl rubber inner tube, synthetic textile fabric reinforcement, and SBR or EPDM rubber outer cover. The hose assembly must include brass cam and groove fittings and stainless steel interlocking ferrules. After assembly, each hose must undergo hydrostatic testing and be certified as free of defects.

The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime to procure these water hoses. It is anticipated to be a 100% small business set-aside using commercial and simplified acquisition procedures, resulting in a firm fixed-price supply contract for FOB Destination delivery to Bremerton, WA. Offerors must provide lead time and manufacturing information in their quotes.
