1. SCOPE: The Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO), Stennis Space Center, MS Acoustics
Department (NP5) has a requirement to acquire four (4) Analog Seismic Acquisition interface units.
The unit system shall contain all the necessary components to acquire, display, and record seismic data. The unit shall contain Seismic Acquisition software that will require annual software maintenance for Seismic Data Collection for the base period and four (4) one (1) year option periods. The system purchase is for life-cycle replacement.
2. REQUIREMENT:
2.1 The following salient characteristics describe the minimum specifications required for an Analog
Seismic Acquisition interface unit. This system shall contain all the necessary components to acquire, display, and record seismic data.
2.1.1 The units shall interface to existing Government-owned computer workstations. These existing workstations are Dell Precision 5820 (or equal to), 64 bit operating systems. They have two (2) COM (serial) ports, one (1) ECP printer port, and four (4) USB (3.0) ports. The computers have 32 GB of DDR4 RDIMM and two (2) TB of disk space for data storage. (Note: The existing computer workstation description is included here for informational purposes only to inform the quoter in equipment and software configuration.)
2.1.2 Acquisition Units:
2.1.2.1 Quantity: four (4)
2.1.2.2 Input Voltage: Units shall be configured to accept standard US power; 110 VAC, 60Hz
2.1.2.3 Chassis: 19 inch rack mount configuration
2.1.2.4 Analog Input:
2.1.2.4.1 Channels: 1
2.1.2.4.2 A/D: 24 bit
2.1.2.4.3 Input Connector: BNC
2.1.2.4.4 Range: capable of receiving a signal of +/ – 5 Volts minimum.
2.1.2.5 I/O Ports: Unit shall contain the standard I/O ports necessary to perform the acquisition functions when used in conjunction with the Government computer defined in the Description Section above.
2.1.2.6 Triggers:
2.1.2.6.1 Output: Standard TTL output via BNC
2.1.2.6.2 Input: Standard TTL input via BNC to allow slave mode operation
2.1.2.7 Acquisition System Capabilities:
2.1.2.7.1 Compatible with Windows 10 Operating System
2.1.2.7.2 Data storage in standard SEG-Y format
2.1.2.7.3 Supports user defined NMEA navigation data formats
2.1.2.7.4 Operates in Master (internal Trigger) or Slave (External Trigger) modes
2.1.2.7.5 Adjustable recording delay (after trigger)
2.1.2.7.6 Display: The units shall be provided with a graphical user interface that allows the operator to enter parameters/settings for data acquisition, initiate and stop data acquisition, designate data file names, visually observe acquisition and navigation status, and monitor real time data quality by displaying user defined processed seismic data. The processed data shall not change or interfere with the storage of raw data.
Minimum display parameters are:
2.1.2.7.6.1 AGC/TVG (Automatic Gain Control/Time Variable Gain)
2.1.2.7.6.2 Time zoom
2.1.2.7.6.3 Spectral Analysis
2.1.2.7.6.4 Band Pass Filter
2.1.2.7.6.5 Real-time navigation with heading display (numerical or graphic)
2.1.2.7.6.6 Alarms and warning messages for acquisition, navigation, and logging
2.1.2.7.6.7 User-definable color palette
2.1.2.7.6.8 Any other software or drivers necessary to acquire, display, and record seismic data.
2.1.2.7.6.9 Ability to replay and display data files post acquisition
2.1.2.8 Manuals: Comprehensive manuals for operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
2.1.2.9 Warranty: Minimum 1 Year hardware parts and labor
2.1.3. Seismic Acquisition Software Quantity: four (4)
