About this file

This document contains a brand name justification for the award of a contract for two intelligent refrigerators. The Department of Veterans Affairs Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center requires two new RFID refrigerators with a cloud-based software platform that can track inventory expiry dates, reduce waste, and integrate with the medical center's existing UDI software. The estimated value of the contract is $92,928. Market research found that only one manufacturer, Invita Health, can meet the requirements for integration with the existing software system. The brand name justification was approved and FedStore Corporation, a SDVOSB distributor, was identified as able to provide the refrigerators to meet the agency's needs.
