This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this sources sought must be in writing. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Small Businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. The priority is to find two or more Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB).
Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition.
Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name (b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone, fax, and email € DUNS number (f) Cage Code (g) Tax ID Number and (h) must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below.
CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS
1. CONTRACT TITLE:
VA SPS Steam and Water Sampling Ports Install

3. BACKGROUND:
SPS (Sterile Processing Service) will need Sampling Ports installed for their Sterilizers and Washers so that they can have testing points for steam and water in accordance with the new ST108.
4. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
The contractor will:
• Provide all labor and materials and equipment for the safe replacement of the damaged pipe.
• Set up containment of the area to ensure the repair maintains infection control requirements and worker, employee, and patient safety requirements including work hours restrictions.
• Perform all required lock out tag out safety requirements to ensure to enable the repair is in accordance with all applicable safety and VA Requirements.
• Staging of new materials/parts at any time shall not impact patient care areas to include fire/life safety requirements.
• Materials and pipe replacement parts shall meet or exceed current VA Design requirements which shall also be better than or equivalent to the material/parts that are being replaced.
• Install in a manner to minimize impact to patient care and Hospital operations and in adherence to VA requirements which shall also be better than or equivalent to the existing installation/as built. Work above clinic patient care space shall be completed after hours to avoid impacting patient care operations and to ensure patient, hospital staff safety below the work zone.
• Perform the required testing/commissioning in accordance with required VA Regulations.
• Ensure removal of old/damaged pipe, clean up tear down is immediate after repair is completed and adheres all applicable VA requirements and all Infection Control requirements and worker, employee, and patient safety requirements including work hours restrictions.
• VA SPS Steam and Water Sampling Ports Install:
▪ Install Steam Sampling Ports from the Sterilizers.
▪ Install Water Sampling Ports on the Washers.
▪ Include Material, Labor, and Travel Expenses.
