About this file
This document contains a justification and approval for a sole source award and the related federal contract opportunity. The justification identifies a Bluetooth GNSS receiver, the Bad Elf Flex Mini Standard, as the only product that meets the agency's requirements for a portable GPS device with a display, rugged specifications including water resistance and operating temperature range, GNSS capabilities including SBAS positioning accuracy, and ability to operate without an external antenna or firmware updates through a wired connection. The market research conducted did not identify any other interested vendors through a sources sought notice on SAM.gov. The estimated independent government cost is not provided. The related opportunity is a notice of award issued by the Department of Agriculture for the Bad Elf Flex Mini Standard receiver under an unrestricted small business set-aside.
