Questions and Answers RFQP02031600006 FCI Danbury Power Plant Lead Paint Encapsulation
1. What are the dimensions of the large soffit running across the ceiling? If I remember correctly it is about 2/3 of the way into the building from the back door.
4 beams- Each 45' long x 18" wide x 42" deep approximately. It has two sides
2. How long would you estimate it takes for our men to get through security and begin working at the beginning of the day as well as leave at the end of the day?
Approximately 20 min to get in and 20 min to get out. If you are bringing a truck inside with lot of tools, it will take more time to conduct the inventories.
3. There is a Laborer rate and there is also a rate for a painter/spray rate. Can you please give guidance with the prevailing Wage for this project.
The compliance for the prevailing wage rate will be observed by the work that each person working on the job is doing. If a person on the project is hired to only perform scraping, that person may be paid the laborer prevailing wage of a laborer. Only painting and/or spraying, the prevailing wage rate would be that of a painter.
If the same person is hired to do painting and scraping, the higher prevailing wage rate would apply.
